Community Outreach Representative (PRN)

Communities We Serve

The Community Outreach Representative will serve communities in Bloomington, IL where Chestnut Health Systems is scheduled to attend events.

Responsibilities

• Attend Chestnut Health Systems events such as health fairs, community education events, block parties, etc.
• Staff Chestnut Health Systems booths or display tables to provide information about services and programs.
• Engage with community members and stakeholders, sharing basic Chestnut information and answering general questions.
• Collect community feedback and document event interactions.
• Maintain accurate records of event attendance and outreach activities.
• Promote Chestnut's trauma-informed, recovery model of treatment in all communications.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and email.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to events.
• Ability to lift and carry outreach materials and displays (up to 25 pounds).
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, or climb stairs or step stools as necessary to set up or take down display materials.

Qualifications

• Preferred bilingual.
• Previous experience in community outreach, customer service, healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit work.

Anticipated Pay: $20.00 per hour
Compensation based on job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
