Responsibilities

  • Manage company giving program and community relations outreach, including donation requests and sponsorship fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports on community initiatives and support.
  • Maintain a calendar of outreach activities and create opportunities for community events and team member appearances that will receive media coverage.
  • Provide overall support of media, community, and government relations initiatives.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of internal PR events such as press conferences, openings, photo and video shoots.
  • Liaise with support agencies in planning and execution of all press activities, tours, and events.
  • Support the development of internal communications.
  • Maintain news archives, and photo & video library.
  • Overall administrative support to the Communications department.
  • Support corporate initiatives in other gaming jurisdictions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience planning community events, festivals, and volunteer programs independently.
  • Experience in support of execution of PR events, campaigns and initiatives.
  • Creative, professional and engaging.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work irregular work schedule because of task and deadline requirements.
  • Able to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment.
  • Accuracy in completing assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Able to work in an office environment.
  • Able to be flexible with work schedule (position may require extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays).
  • Three (3) years of experience in event planning/marketing, public relations, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to obtain Gaming License as required by the State Gaming Agency for the position.
  • Proficient in the use of modern office equipment and software packages inclusive of but not limited to personal computers, Microsoft, Word, Power-Point, and Excel.
