Community Observer - UIC Science

UIC Arctic Operations & Development is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead our Arctic operations and development projects. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of Arctic environments.

About the role

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and control of projects within the Arctic region. They will ensure that all projects meet their objectives on time and within budget, while also adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Lead project teams in achieving project goals
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary
• Manage risks and issues proactively

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management
• Experience working in Arctic environments
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management software
