About the role

Nirvana Healthcare is seeking a fully bilingual (Spanish/English) Community Marketing & Outreach Specialist to grow our presence within Spanish-speaking communities throughout New Jersey. This hands-on, field-based position focuses on building relationships, developing partnerships, and connecting residents with healthcare services. The role is results-oriented, with a significant portion of time spent in the community meeting people, attending events, and creating opportunities for engagement.

This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and works closely with the internal marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Nirvana Healthcare in Bloomfield, East Orange, Newark, and surrounding communities.
  • Visit and build relationships with apartment buildings, senior communities, churches, pharmacies, local businesses, community organizations, and other trusted partners.
  • Meet with property managers, leasing teams, resident coordinators, community leaders, clergy, business owners, social workers, case managers, and other decision-makers.
  • Introduce and explain healthcare services professionally in both Spanish and English.
  • Develop ongoing relationships rather than simply distributing marketing materials.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, patient referrals, resident communications, presentations, health screenings, and community events.
  • Build relationships with home health agencies, visiting nurse organizations, social workers, case managers, senior organizations, and other potential referral partners.
  • Promote primary care, specialty care, preventive services, walk-in availability, and house-call services.
  • Coordinate complimentary blood pressure and BMI screenings, health education programs, and community presentations.
  • Attend selected community events and represent the organization professionally.
  • Follow up consistently with every qualified contact and opportunity.
  • Track outreach activity, relationships, referrals, inquiries, and results.
  • Provide a clear weekly activity and performance report.
  • Work with the marketing team to identify which outreach activities generate patient inquiries, appointments, and completed visits.

Weekly Performance Expectations

  • 25–30 targeted outreach visits.
  • At least 15 direct conversations with decision-makers.
  • 7–10 new qualified community contacts.
  • 3–5 confirmed follow-up meetings, presentations, or partnership discussions.
  • At least two new placements, referral relationships, partnerships, or event opportunities.
  • Consistent follow-up with all active contacts and opportunities.
  • Complete tracking of activity and results.
  • A weekly written performance report.

While activity goals are important, the ultimate objective is to create measurable growth and patient volume.

  • Persistent and motivated without being overly aggressive or sales-driven.
  • Comfortable speaking with community leaders, business owners, healthcare professionals, social workers, and residents.
  • Able to document activity and prepare clear reports.
  • Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, mobile applications, and basic digital tracking tools.
