About the role

The Blake is a student living community managed by Greystar. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the property, including financial management, lease enforcement, and resident relations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and reviews budgets for the property
  • Ensures timely collection and posting of rents and fees
  • Approves invoices and manages petty cash fund
  • Oversees lease enforcement and resident complaints
  • Maintains relationships with housing and student affairs officials
  • Analyzes market trends and implements leasing strategies
  • Manages property maintenance and ensures compliance with standards
  • Supervises property staff and leads team meetings
  • Communicates with clients and responds to their needs
  • For California only: Manages lease process using the California specific Lease File Checklist

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in residence life or property management
  • Knowledge of equity and inclusion issues impacting higher education
  • Problem-solving skills for managing residential challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated

Specialized Skills

  • Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management
  • Experience using property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, etc.)
  • Ability to navigate THD (The Housing Director), PeopleSoft, MaxPanda or similar systems
  • Management and supervisory skills to hire, lead, and evaluate team members
  • Experience building collaborative partnerships with various stakeholders

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $95,000. Additional compensation includes participation in a quarterly or annual bonus program, generous paid time off, and robust benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance, paid parental leave, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
