Community Living Instructor (CLI) (East Bay Area)

Position Overview

A Bright Future, Inc. specializes in supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes and communities.

Current Openings

• Oakland: Friday–Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Must have experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Berkeley: Part-time, as-needed/on-call position, Must be a driver with reliable transportation
• Brentwood: Part-time, Fridays only

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in home and community settings
• Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Support community integration, appointments, errands, and recreational activities
• Encourage independence, communication, and social development
• Monitor safety and follow individualized support plans
• Complete daily documentation and communicate with supervisors as needed

Qualifications

• Drug screening required
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• Negative TB test
• DOJ fingerprint clearance prior to employment
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient

Training Provided

• No experience required for some positions
• Paid training provided
• Ongoing support and supervision available

Compensation

$16.90 per hour
