About the role

Anchor Home is seeking a Community Living Coordinator to support the daily operations of a residential home serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves leading and supporting Direct Support Professionals, ensuring efficient resource use, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and fostering individual growth and community integration.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in on-call responsibilities and assist with emergency staffing support as needed
  • Aid with staff call-outs and shift coverage
  • Support and communicate with Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
  • Respond professionally and promptly to emails and requests from the corporate office
  • Train, observe, and coach DSPs within the home
  • Maintain accurate documentation, medication administration, attendance records, and task completion
  • Help keep the home clean, safe, and organized
  • Purchase groceries and household supplies as needed
  • Submit receipts weekly for review
  • Handle unexpected situations and emergencies
  • Communicate with family members and provide updates
  • Encourage community involvement, independence, and personal goals for individuals served
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field
  • Previous experience in caregiving, customer service, healthcare, education, hospitality, or human services preferred
  • One (1) year of leadership experience
  • One (1) year of administrative experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • CPR/First Aid and Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • No prior DDA management experience is required
