Community Liaison-Home Care

About the role

Stella Maris is proud to provide central Maryland with compassionate, home care for the community we serve. We specialize in medical services that enable the patient to adapt and manage his or her medical situation in the comfort of their home. The Home Care department is expanding and is looking for a Community Liaison to join the Business Development team to support expansion into Howard County, Maryland. This forward‑facing role has a large marketing, outreach, and business development component.

Responsibilities

• Generate referral sources from the assigned territory, including hospitals, physicians, social workers, retirement communities, skilled nursing facilities, and the general community.
• Manage home care, hospice, and personal care business development plans and maintain referral goals.
• Maintain current contracted relationships and develop new relationships to increase referrals.
• Work collaboratively with available resources to assess and identify opportunities that will meet patient needs.
• Meet with potential clients/families to discuss Stella Maris Community Based Services.
• Develop a marketing plan for community‑based services and engage with the referral base.
• Host and attend marketing events for current vendors and potential new vendors.

Requirements

• Prior experience in home health or hospice (required).
• Prior experience in sales or marketing (a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, business, or a related health field (years of experience may be used in lieu of degree).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).
• Ability to travel locally to promote Stella Maris Home Care, Hospice, and Personal Care.

Pay

Minimum $36.25 per hour – Maximum $55.80 per hour.
