About the role
As a Community Health Educator at Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, you will play a crucial role in promoting sexual health education and providing confidential health services to underserved communities in Charlottesville, VA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational programs addressing reproductive health, STI prevention, and other related topics.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to enhance health services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Engage in marketing and outreach activities to increase access to services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting or community health education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of reproductive health issues and public health principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$40,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
