Community Education Assistant Group Swim Coach

About the role

The Community Education Group Swim Coach will support the community education program by providing swim lessons and coaching to participants.

Responsibilities

• Teach group swim classes according to age-appropriate curriculum
• Ensure safety and proper technique in all swimming activities
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and needs
• Adapt lesson plans based on participant feedback and skill levels
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Valid lifeguard certification
• Experience working with children
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Pass a background check

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Teaching certification is not required but may be beneficial
