About the Role
As an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach, you will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to write and lead Swim Team Group Workouts, register new participants, and maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.
Responsibilities
- Offers competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique
- Runs daily practices under the direction of the head coach
- Promotes all Life Time products, services, and programs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of swim coaching experience
- Member of ASCA
- Member of USA Swimming
- Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
- Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests about Life Time products and services
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally lift more than 20 lbs
Qualifications
- Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
- Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
- Must complete all job-specific requirements with Life Time Education
Preferred Qualifications
- ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
Pay
This is an hourly position with wages starting at $14.25 and up to $17.00, based on experience and qualifications.
