Community Director
About the role
The Lewis Group of Companies is a collection of independent entities focused on the real estate industry, with 70 years of experience creating lasting value for employees, clients, partners, and communities. As Community Director, you will manage the lease-up process, community operations, and team management for a 208-rental home community in West Sacramento, CA. Your goal is to ensure optimal occupancy, maintain property value, oversee maintenance, and foster a positive team environment.
Pre-leasing begins 9/15/26, with a planned opening for 10/15/26.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Leasing, Maintenance, and Groundskeeping staff, including hiring, motivating, monitoring, and rewarding the team (Maintenance Supervisor, Assistant Community Director, Maintenance Technician, and Leasing Consultant).
- Oversee sales, leasing, and marketing activities.
- Prepare and analyze budget reports, occupancy reports, and variances.
- Ensure and promote resident satisfaction through effective follow-through and leadership.
- Utilize company software, including OneSite, MS Office (Word, Excel), and YieldStar.
Note: Other duties may be required as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of property management experience.
- Supervisory background with strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of property budgets, bookkeeping, and basic landlord/tenant law.
- Understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
- Exceptional people skills.
Schedule
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with weekends (Saturday/Sunday) off.
Pay
Competitive salary of $95,000–$105,000 DOE, plus annual bonus potential.
