Community Development Director

The Village of Lake Zurich, Illinois is located in southwestern Lake County approximately 37 miles from downtown Chicago. Lake Zurich is a full service community with many residential neighborhoods, restaurants and shopping opportunities, great schools and recreation make it an ideal community to live.

About the role

• Supports the mission and values of the Village of Lake Zurich.
• Works collaboratively with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine inspections of public facilities and equipment.
• Responds to emergency situations and assists in disaster response efforts.
• Maintains records and reports related to inspections and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of local government operations and procedures.
