Community Data & Evaluation Manager
Location: Remote | Contract | Hourly Pay Range: $40-$55
About the role
Our client in Providence, RI, is seeking a Community Data & Evaluation Manager to lead efforts in collecting, analyzing, and reporting community feedback supporting Rhode Island's Rural Health Transformation Program. This role is ideal for a professional experienced in translating complex community data into actionable insights to inform program implementation and policy decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains systems for collecting and organizing community feedback from Rural Health Networks, Regional Hubs, advisory councils, and community partners.
- Collaborates with networks to understand the types of information being gathered across program initiatives.
- Creates standardized templates, reporting tools, and processes to ensure consistent collection and reporting of community feedback.
- Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, emerging issues, barriers, service gaps, and promising practices.
- Differentiates between project-specific issues, regional concerns, and broader system challenges.
- Assesses gaps in available feedback and recommends strategies to improve data collection.
- Prepares "What We Heard" reports, executive summaries, presentations, and briefing materials for leadership, advisory councils, and public communications.
- Tracks how community feedback informs decision-making and implementation efforts.
- Develops and supports dashboards, scorecards, story maps, and accountability reports for public and internal audiences.
- Coordinates with evaluation teams, GIS specialists, communications staff, and data partners to ensure consistent reporting.
- Presents findings through reports, dashboards, and plain-language summaries, supporting continuous improvement in community engagement and program evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, Evaluation, Health Policy, Human Services, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in community engagement, public health, health equity, rural health, program evaluation, or government initiatives.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research and analytical skills.
- Experience synthesizing data from surveys, meeting notes, focus groups, listening sessions, partner reports, interviews, and implementation data.
- Proven ability to develop dashboards, reports, performance measures, and public-facing accountability tools.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying trends, gaps, risks, and actionable recommendations from complex information.
- Excellent writing, research, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization or reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Results-Based Accountability (RBA), GIS or story mapping tools, Medicaid programs, rural health initiatives, health equity, or healthcare transformation efforts.
