Job Description
Thrive Community Management is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships and creating authentic community experiences. The Community Manager (CM) role involves ensuring the community adheres to The Company’s strategies and achieving financial and operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Direct and develop assigned communities' Management, Experience, and Maintenance teams
- Facilitate meetings and maintain communications with clients, vendors, and internal team members
- Provide prompt and superior customer service to residents, prospective residents, visitors, and vendors
- Serve as a hiring manager and participate in interviews, hiring decisions, onboarding, and oversee direct team's performance including employee development
- Oversee marketing, leasing campaigns, and renewal programs as directed by company standards
- Coordinate and manage the resolution of all resident-related customer service issues, and meet with residents when necessary
- Oversee community and resident files, general leasing and renewal activities, and rent collection
- Develop and execute community operating budgets and strategic planning for assigned communities
- Maintain financial performance goals by reviewing weekly operating reports, financial statements, and payables
- Create individual development plans for themselves and their respective team members, and recommend, develop, and execute additional training for Community Management team members
- Ensure compliance with community condition and quality standards, and monitor all purchases and expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Implement and execute a preventative maintenance program to address structural, physical appearance, equipment, and safety issues
- Collaborate with the Community Maintenance Manager and Director of Commercial Management on parking, utilities, and commercial spaces
- Work with construction to identify capital improvement projects and ensure proper funds are budgeted
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in Community Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- At least two (2) to four (4) years of related community management experience with multi-family/residential communities, and at least one (1) to two (2) years of experience leading a team is required
- Experience with community management software systems and Microsoft Office® is preferred
- CAM® or CAPS® certification preferred
