Community Crisis Stabilization Counselor - Part Time Sundays

About the role

The Community Crisis Stabilization programs provide both short and long-term care for persons experiencing mental health, substance use disorder, and co-occurring disorders who might otherwise require treatment in an inpatient setting and would benefit from structured stabilization, support, care coordination, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to allow consumers to maintain their physical and emotional health, live safely in the community and develop the skills necessary to return to independent living.
• Interact with consumers in a way that respects them as unique individuals and adults, aiming for crisis or situational stabilization.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to communicate in and comprehend the English language, including clearly documenting consumer progress and activities in program records.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and to function independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree with one years’ experience.
• High School Diploma and three years related experience.

Pay

• $21.21/hour with High School Diploma.
• $22.27/hour with a Bachelor’s Degree.

Schedule

• Part-Time, 8 hours.
• Sunday, 7am to 3pm.
