Community Connections Supervisor
About the Role
The Community Resource Navigation Supervisor operates the Community Connection and Resource Navigation Program at FamilyWorks locations and satellite sites throughout North Seattle. This role identifies, secures, and cultivates partnerships with aligned community programs in areas like health services, education, housing, family support, and food justice. The Supervisor directs staff and volunteers to ensure community needs are met through quality programming, relevant information, and resource referrals. The position ensures program design, delivery, and evaluation align with FamilyWorks’ strategic plan and promotes strengths-based, anti-racist, and culturally responsive practices guided by the Principles of Family Support and the National Family Support Network’s Standards of Quality.
This role oversees a team of full-time staff, manages on-duty responsibilities, and is primarily based at the Family Resource Center in Roosevelt, the Wallingford Food Bank, and satellite locations such as Seattle Public Schools and St. Luke’s. The position reports to the Supportive Family Programs Manager.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support paid staff and volunteers to meet program needs and objectives, including those in onsite and offsite roles.
- Provide hands-on support to staff, volunteers, and interns, fostering strong communication and collaboration across teams.
- Develop, cultivate, and steward program partnerships with affordable housing organizations, schools, King County Public Health, City of Seattle agencies, and others.
- Provide direct services, facilitation, and coordination to support Community Resource Navigators in schools, the Family Resource Center, the Food Bank, and mobile/satellite locations.
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for participants and staff, contributing to safety protocols and program organization.
- Contribute to organizational development and fundraising objectives, including grant seeking, proposal development, and reporting.
- Assist in creating, administering, and monitoring program and contract budgets, including forecasting and revisions.
- Provide onsite supervision and instruction to volunteers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with city, county, state, and federal contractual obligations, including program activities, outcomes, audits, and reporting.
- Maintain and update the Resource Library, creating pathways for successful resource connections through training, technology, and partnerships.
- Facilitate communication among staff, volunteers, and program participants.
- Collaborate on data management protocols, impact measurement strategies, and database implementation.
- Work with the Family Alliance for Resources and Engagement (FARE) to gather participant feedback and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Analyze participant surveys and contribute to program reviews and strategic planning.
- Attend team meetings, training, partnership meetings, and occasional evening/weekend events.
- Actively participate in agency cultural competency and race equity initiatives.
- Perform other duties as needed.

- Access to reliable transportation throughout North Seattle.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English, Spanish, or other language) a plus.
- Professional degree (or equivalent life experience) with a minimum of 2 years in social work or nonprofit program management.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in hiring, training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Experience working with children, youth, and family programs.
- Strong human-relations and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn specialized databases (e.g., Efforts to Outcomes).
- Must pass a background check.
Schedule
Monday – Friday; occasional evenings and weekends.
Pay
$81,000 USD
