Community Center Cafe and Rink Team Member (Part-Time)

Part-time, non-exempt position starting at $13.00 per hour. Reports to Recreation Supervisor-Ice Arena & Concessions. Located at Eden Prairie Community Center (16700 Valley View Road, Eden Prairie, MN) and Staring Lake Park (summer only). Hours vary based on needs, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends; minimum 1-2 shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Operates concessions at the EPCC and Mobile Café by adhering to standards, policies, procedures, health codes, and regulations; maintains a safe, friendly environment for patrons at the concession area.
• Supports concessions operations during high-traffic events like year-round hockey games and tournaments, and mobile café operations at Staring Lake Park during summer theatre and special events.
• Works as rink attendant for open skate programs by ensuring patrons have paid daily fee and are adhering to ice rink policies. Assists with passing out rental skates and ensuring proper fit.
• Provides high-quality customer service by consistently exhibiting an enthusiastic and eager focus to members, responding to questions with accurate information or referring them to an appropriate contact.
• Performs a variety of additional duties as part of the team.

Requirements

• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to skate proficiently required.
• Ability to lift, pull, push, move, or carry up to 50 lbs; bend, stand, and reach.
• Must successfully complete the City’s pre-employment process, including professional reference checks, background check, work verification, and education verification if applicable.
