Community Case Coordinator, Foster Care

About the role

Join our team of dedicated professionals passionate about making a difference in the lives of families and children. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your skills in advocacy and case management within our Foster Care program at Devereux.

Responsibilities

• Manage foster parents and children, develop and implement individualized service plans
• Coordinate transportation as needed
• Connect families to referrals, services and resources
• Provide active visitation to homes and various settings
• Document and report on cases
• Handle crisis management and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a human services related field required
• Masters Degree preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in child welfare, foster care or in-home crisis interventions
• Experience providing clinical and/or case management services to children and families
• Excellent therapeutic skills, written/verbal communication and organizational skills
• Previous DFCS or CPA experience preferred
• Experience with SHINES system a huge plus

Other Qualifications

• Strong technical skills and comfortable utilizing in-house computer applications for documentation and reporting purposes
• Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class

Schedule

Hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily.
