Job Summary
SUNY Upstate is seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice provider to join the Community Campus Cancer Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the attending physicians, providing comprehensive health assessments and develop plans of care for Hematology/Oncology patients.
- Conduct medical health histories, physical examination, developing plans based on clinical diagnoses and problems.
- Analyze diagnostic testing and laboratory results, and ordering interventions based on clinical assessments.
- Consult with physicians for abnormal findings as appropriate and assist in planning and ordering care and treatment for patients requiring triage.
- Actively participate in quality improvements working on teams and committees.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- NYS Licensed/Registered NP or PA.
- Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice.
- Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire).
- CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Oncology area preferred.

Monday - Friday
