About Magma Math
Magma is one of the world’s fastest‑growing edtech companies, transforming math education. Their platform turns handwritten solutions into digital insights, giving teachers real‑time visibility into student progress and enabling more inclusive, engaging, and effective math classrooms. With thousands of schools already using the solution, Magma is expanding rapidly across the U.S. and Europe.
About the Role
Your main goal is to build, manage, and amplify Magma’s presence in the “rooms” where math leaders gather. You will run educator events, the ambassador program, webinars, and the online spaces where math teachers and coaches already converse. You’ll also create the system that turns happy customers into references, case studies, and speakers, working closely with education leaders and instructional strategists such as curriculum directors and chief academic officers.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute regional educator and math‑leader events, handling city selection, invite lists, and logistics in partnership with the VPs of Marketing and Customer Success.
- Grow and manage the ambassador program: recruit, onboard, define clear exchanges, and establish a nomination path with Customer Success.
- Own Magma’s presence in existing digital communities (e.g., Facebook and LinkedIn groups) where educators gather.
- Design and run webinars and professional‑development sessions that attract both customers and non‑customers, collaborating with Customer Success and the Professional Learning Manager.
- Identify and cultivate district advocates, track referenceability, manage permission renewals, and avoid over‑asking.
- Gather community intelligence—understand what educators are saying and translate insights into actionable feedback.
- Develop larger convenings for district leaders and the customer advisory board, working with the VP of Marketing as the role expands.
Requirements
- Experience in edtech or K‑12 (required).
- Background as a teacher, coach, or district staff member is a plus.
- Comfort moving between casual conversations with classroom teachers and polished discussions with district‑level contacts.
- Strong writing ability for webinar invites, ambassador emails, and personable brand communications.
- Project‑management instincts and the ability to juggle many small tasks simultaneously.
- Good judgment on when to intervene, listen, or hand off to support or sales.
- Willingness to travel for events during the school year.
- Bonus: experience in community, field marketing, events, customer marketing, or social media.
- Classroom, coaching, or district‑office experience.
- Track record of building a program from scratch, at any scale.
- Experience moderating an online space through challenging situations.
- Comfortable using HubSpot or a comparable CRM for advocacy work.
Benefits
- Play a key role in an exciting, mission‑driven journey.
- Young company with ambitious targets and meaningful goals.
- Fantastic colleagues in a fun environment with strong learning opportunities.
- Competitive remuneration and benefits package.
- Annual company trip.
- Opportunity to make a substantial impact on education and how children worldwide learn math.
