Community Assistant - The Oaks on the Square (Student Living)
About the role
The Community Assistant at The Oaks on the Square (Student Living) is responsible for performing administrative tasks, assisting with sales and leasing activities, and supporting resident functions.
Responsibilities
- Performs administrative tasks including copying documents, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling resident calls, and organizing rent payments and other collateral materials.
- Affords support to sales and leasing activities by conducting virtual tours, responding to online inquiries, greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting property tours, and showing apartments.
- Aids in the lease preparation process by generating all required lease paperwork and organizing resident lease files.
- Affords support to the move in and move out process for residents; commits to working move-in and move-out dates as mandatory work dates.
- Answers incoming calls and sets appointments for prospects to tour the property.
- Performs on-campus marketing outreach to generate community awareness and qualified traffic.
- Affords support to resident functions, including parties, birthday cards, unit visits, and other programs to achieve resident satisfaction goals.
- Schedules and conducts resident visits as directed and distributes notices such as flyers, newsletters, resident surveys, and late notices.
- Acts as an after-hours liaison between residents and property management; responds to after-hours emergencies within a required period of time.
- Responds quickly and courteously to resident concerns and questions and takes prompt action to solve problems and/or document and convey resident or other requests to the appropriate individual(s).
Requirements
The Community Assistant should have the ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas. They must also be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions, push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance. Physical demands may require rare or regular travel to assist other properties as needed, attend training classes, business meetings, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position. Incumbents must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which includes taking “call” during evenings, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
The Community Assistant should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. The Community Assistant should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Skills
The Community Assistant should have excellent organizational and administrative skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. The Community Assistant should also have a strong understanding of real estate principles and practices.
Benefits
The Community Assistant at The Oaks on the Square (Student Living) may be eligible for additional compensation, including a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance, and weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs. Pay
The hourly range for this position is $16.94 - $17.50.
Schedule
The Community Assistant at The Oaks on the Square (Student Living) may work part-time hours, typically 15-20 hours per week. The schedule is determined at the site level and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
