Community and Family Support Program Analyst

Class Code & Class Description: H1C4XX Analyst IV- This position primarily works to support data management, data analysis, research, and reporting needs across the various programs and services managed by the Division of Community and Family Supports (DCFS) under the Office of Program Development.
This position collaborates closely with leadership to identify and lead strategic projects that promote data-driven decision-making and to ensure that work is aligned to the Division’s and Department’s needs and priorities. This position is recognized as staff authority for data related to early childhood family support programs that include Home Visiting, Family Resource Centers, Promoting Safe and Stable Families, Nurturing Connections Colorado, SafeCare Colorado, amongst others. This position provides expertise in data analysis and reporting, in addition to ensuring data integrity and quality across programs.
Duties include analysis of community and family support programming data, primarily collected and managed in Salesforce; inform continuous improvement and long-term decision making around policy and practice; support collection of new high quality data; identifying strategic priorities and project management related to data requests and reports; design and implement analytics and reporting deliverables that meet program needs; ensuring data product quality; consulting with program staff and leadership on efforts to collect, compile, use, and/or report data; consulting with external partners; building data capacity for leadership and stakeholders; developing and maintaining a strong understanding of the data generated and managed by the Division of Community and Family Support and how it compares to national trends; and contribute to cross-division, cross-departmental and external-facing reporting efforts.
This position must be skilled in collecting, curating, cleaning and manipulating data files; data analysis; data visualization; data storytelling; and reporting and communicating across diverse audiences.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Experience Only: Seven (7) years of professional experience with independent data analysis and reporting using quantitative and qualitative data in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
OR
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Child Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences (e.g. Social Work, Sociology, Psychology), Education, Statistics, or a field of study related to the work assignment AND three years of professional experience with independent data analysis and reporting using quantitative and qualitative data in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
