With 40 programs and service sites spanning several counties, Momentum is the largest nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with disabilities in Southern California.
About the role
As a Community Ambassador, you will be responsible for greeting and receiving all visitors, in addition to providing administrative support. Hours vary, Monday through Friday between 4:30 PM and 11:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Greet people upon arrival and direct them to their activity they are participating in.
- Prepare gym space, locker rooms, and other public spaces in the building.
- Ensures every visitor is accounted for.
- Keeps lobby, hallways, locker room, and ADA restroom off the lobby tidy and organized.
- Manages lost and found items left by visitors.
- Activates and deactivates building alarm and locks/unlocks entrance doors.
- Assists with miscellaneous clerical support as needed.
- Share information about the building - Momentum Strong.
- Shares volunteer sign-up information.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have one (1) year experience of related experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others.
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, lift up to 35 lbs.
- Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
