Responsibilities

  • Learn about Texas Mutual’s community partnerships.
  • Participate in the grant-making process.
  • Help with tasks related to event sponsorship commitments.
  • Use online platforms that track volunteering and charitable giving.
  • Select and complete research projects on Community Affairs topics.
  • Gain an understanding of the importance of corporate citizenship.
  • Complete tasks and projects as assigned by the department.
  • Participate in division meetings and trainings.
  • Attend multiple in-person events, as a representative of Texas Mutual.
  • Collaborate with partners to further our philanthropic mission.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.
  • Must have an interest in at least one of the following: non-profit relations, charitable giving, corporate communications, corporate citizenship practice, grant-making, sponsorship management, public relations, cause marketing or community partnerships.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications is preferred.

Internship Details

  • Duraton: fall and spring internship to begin September 8, 2026 (end date is flexible).
  • Location: Austin, TX; in-person; potential for limited remote work later in the internship.
  • Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible).
  • Compensation: $26.00 an hour.
  • Benefits: Not included with internship positions.

  • Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs.
  • All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
