About the role

The Communications Specialist and Senior Communications Specialist positions at Dominion Energy are dedicated to understanding and addressing issues that impact company operations. They are responsible for preparing and delivering communications, both written and multimedia, for internal distribution. The role involves facilitating communication among company management and employees, identifying issues, and developing communication plans for appropriate audiences. Senior Specialists also assist and promote Dominion Energy Virginia programs.

Responsibilities

• Understands and stays abreast of issues impacting company operations.
• Prepares leadership, safety, training, and environmental communications, both written and multimedia, for internal distribution with minimal assistance.
• Facilitates communication among company management and employees.
• Identifies issues and develops communication plans for appropriate audiences.
• Visualizes and humanizes data to increase engagement at all employee levels.
• Advises management on communication strategies.
• Assists and promotes Dominion Energy Virginia programs.

Requirements

• Communications Specialist: 2-3+ years of corporate communications and/or news media experience.
• Senior Communications Specialist: 5-6+ years of corporate communications and/or news media experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of multimedia, videography, photography, and newsletter design.
• Experience working with a team and managing complex, communications project budgets and deadlines from ideation to completion.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Superior writing and editing skills.
• Ability to process and respond to information quickly.

Pay

Salary range for the Communications Specialist position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, and for the Senior Communications Specialist position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year. Final salary is determined based on experience and qualifications.
