About the Role
Join the Integrated Marketing Campaigns (IMC) team to elevate the BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems (SMS) brand. We are seeking a data-driven marketer and organized project leader to synchronize branding and messaging across all channels, develop high-impact marketing materials, and optimize campaign performance. The Strategic Operations (StratOps) Strategic Capabilities Unit consists of Washington DC Operations, Marketing & Communications, and Strategic Development. The StratOps team promotes and elevates the business within our markets, works with customers and industry to influence and drive growth, and facilitates collaboration across the business enterprise to increase opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and measure integrated marketing campaigns and external events in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure all collateral and messaging align with strategic priorities and brand standards.
- May own the management of a marketing portfolio, such as speaking engagements, to ensure consistency in messaging and deployment of marketing assets.
- May serve as a business liaison with one of the business units on marketing and communication needs, bridging between that unit and MarCom.
- Define strategic messaging for events in connection to integrated marketing campaigns and ensure visual presence and staffing at both internal and external company events.
- Maintain all records and reports in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company.
- Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Work Environment
This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 4 or more years of related experience. Each higher-level degree (e.g., Master’s or Ph.D.) may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education or US Department of Education.
- Demonstrated marketing campaign experience, including performing market research.
- Advanced experience using metrics to deliver data-driven results.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into strategic marketing messages.
- Experience working under brand guidelines and with marketing products (writing, designing, and analyzing data).
- Creative eye for design and branding, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite (particularly InDesign) and Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure and with fast turnarounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and with technical subject matter experts.
- Attention to detail, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to quickly learn new skills, products, and technical knowledge.
- Willingness to take initiative to understand the company, products, capabilities, and markets, if not familiar with the industry.
- Experience increasing brand awareness among key target audiences.
- Experience working with marketing analytical tools and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree in PR, Marketing, Design, Journalism, English, or a related field.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $82,779 – $140,723. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
