Communications Specialist – London

About the role

Effective communication involves connecting with others. Use your creative skills and training to assist the London team in communicating with local diaspora, under-reached communities, and ministry partners. Creative connections can lead to effective relationship building, gatherings, evangelism, and discipleship that will help the team fulfill our vision of planting reproducing house churches.

Responsibilities

• Create communication tools to share the gospel, develop discipleship tools, encourage believers, mobilize new workers, and raise funds and prayer support for the London team.
• Collaborate with the team and field leader for assignments and priorities.
• Design and create evangelism and discipleship tools for individuals and church plants.
• Tell the story of new believers to encourage growth and development.
• Live in a multicultural neighborhood.
• Teach the Bible in formal and informal settings.
• Evangelize and disciple people.
• Establish and maintain local relationships.
• Aid in the local church-planting process.

Requirements

• Vibrant and dedicated spiritual life characterized by consistent practice of spiritual disciplines.
• Solid understanding of the Scriptures and ability to teach and clearly communicate the Word of God with the goal of pointing people to Jesus Christ.
• A heart for diaspora and under-reached communities and passion for the transformation available through faith in Christ.
• Spiritually mature, exhibiting humility and godliness.
• Theological education (formal or informal).
• Skilled storyteller: Ability to tell a story (writing, video, social media, web design, etc.) that draws people’s interest and attention.
• Experienced in evangelism and discipleship.
• Communication Skills: The ability to clearly communicate with people from a variety of cultures, as well as the ability to faithfully teach Scripture.
• Flexible: The ability to customize methods for a distinct cultural context and a desire to equip others to do the same.
• Sensitivity and Insight: Experience or training with minority, diaspora, marginalized, or otherwise vulnerable populations, with the ability to discern the unique challenges of the local community.
• Evangelism and Discipleship: At least 1-2 years of experience in evangelism and discipleship, with the capacity to equip and support others in their call to evangelize and disciple.

Qualifications
