COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
About the role
The Interim Community Engagement Specialist will support the Agency and Foundation's development and informational goals, working independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for youth and families in creating a better future aligned with Trinity’s values and mission.
- Manage incoming calls, direct them to appropriate personnel, and take messages.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, process packages, and manage overnight mail.
- Support the Development team in engaging children and youth in foster care and residential placement.
- Assist with special events, community outreach, and volunteer activities.
- Coordinate site visits and tours, respond to communications, and participate in industry events.
- Create and post blogs, newsletters, social media content, and graphic designs.
- Travel as necessary for task completion.
- Organize and conduct awareness campaigns for various publics.
- Manage administrative tasks and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Three consecutive years of community outreach and/or project management experience in a non-profit environment, or two years of related experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, nonprofit development, or a commensurate field.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting and the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs, and web technology.
- Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge development software.
- Clear communication skills, both oral and written.
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record and the ability to operate a vehicle safely.

Pay
$25.00 per hour.
