About the role
The Communications Specialist will help draft and execute internal and external communications to enhance Saint Alphonsus's reputation as an employer of choice and trusted healthcare provider. They will support the development of strategic initiatives and deliver communications through various channels.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies
- Write and edit content for newsletters, press releases, intranet updates, and other communication channels
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team on social media strategy and content creation
- Develop and implement internal communications campaigns and evaluate their effectiveness
- Provide communications counsel for projects, programs, campaigns, and events
- Assist with after-hours media call responsibilities
- Support the production and distribution of collateral materials
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or related field
- At least five years of related experience in internal communications, public relations, or marketing/communications
- Familiarity with a health care setting preferred
Qualifications

- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in marketing automation platforms and project management tools
- Comfort with social media and digital communications
