Responsibilities
- Operate the communications console and paging equipment.
- Initiate hospital alarms and emergency procedures.
- Schedule patients.
- Perform various clerical and administrative duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows required.
- Medical Terminology required.
- Completed specialized courses or training on console operation within 6 months of hire is required.
- Excellent customer service, telephone skills, and verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Previous experience working in the medical field is preferred.
- Multi-lingual preferred.
- One year related work experience is required.
- MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED.
- Accurate message taking and accurate spelling.
- Relay messages accurately and according to specific instructions.
- Good typing skills from verbal communication.
- Work well with others and/or alone.
- Work at CMH or SLH site if/when needed.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay
Pay range: USD $16.29 - USD $27.54 /Hr.
Rotation Schedule
Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.
