Communications Specialist
Responsibilities
- Draft and edit internal communications content, including announcements, intranet articles, employee toolkits, presentations, and talking points.
- Support planning and execution of communication campaigns that reinforce organizational priorities, culture, and initiatives.
- Maintain and contribute to editorial calendars to align communications activities with enterprise goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and timely.
- Auxiliary with employee engagement initiatives, events, and communication programs.
- Host bi-monthly leadership forums to share updates and reinforce priorities.
- Develop messaging and toolkits for leaders to communicate organizational decisions.
- Monitor communication performance metrics and recommend engagement improvements.
- Support maintenance and improvement of crisis communication plans and response efforts.
- Contribute to tabletop exercises, training, and post-incident reviews.
- Assist in rapid-response communication during incidents.
- Support employer brand storytelling and content development, including employee stories, profiles, and campaign materials.
- Partner with HR and Communications to identify storytelling opportunities to attract and retain talent.
- Help measure and report on employer brand engagement.
- Manage multiple communication projects while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Identify new technologies and communication practices to enhance team productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Over three years of experience in corporate or employee communications, employer branding, public relations, or marketing.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Experience creating content across digital, video, and traditional media.
- Knowledge of employee communications, employer branding, reputation management, or crisis communications.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.
- Experience with AI and emerging technologies to enhance communication effectiveness is preferred.
Qualifications
