About the role

The Communications Specialist role is responsible for creating and implementing employee communication content to drive engagement, align teams, and shape organizational culture. Daily interactions with teams in Japan are facilitated by proficiency in Japanese.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end creation and deployment of internal communications supporting business and culture initiatives.
  • Serve as the point person for all business-related communication requests, managing the content calendar and platform selection.
  • Collaborate with creative and IT teams to ensure intranet content remains current and relevant, recommending site improvements.
  • Auxiliary in the coordination, content planning, and execution of live meetings and events, such as All Hands Meetings and Information Sessions.
  • Develop messaging to support business initiatives, including 90 Day Sprints, Modern Workplace, and Performance Engagement.
  • Lead the Employee Spotlight initiative by identifying candidates, interviewing, and creating content aligned with company culture and DE&I objectives.
  • Support external communications and events, amplifying messages internally to employees.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs by monitoring key analytics and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with brand and marketing peers to enhance corporate messaging strategy.
  • Manage information security as part of normal business operations and ensure compliance with global regulations.
  • Collect, analyze, and present data through reports, charts, and graphs.

Requirements

  • Experience: Professional experience in creating and implementing employee communication content and managing internal communication platforms. Experience working with creative and IT teams is required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Japanese is a mandatory requirement for this role to facilitate daily work with groups in Japan. The candidate must be able to develop messaging, manage content calendars, and analyze program effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and intranet management tools.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
