Communications Operator
About the role
As a Communications Professional, you will be a dynamic, essential voice, ensuring clear, consistent, and compelling communication across all channels to engage stakeholders and uphold our brand. You will execute vital communication tasks, including managing platforms, drafting content, and operating systems to ensure timely information dissemination. You'll also contribute to strategy by monitoring effectiveness and supporting campaigns to enhance messaging and reach.
You will assist customers in obtaining information and services, work with all levels of personnel and physicians to provide effective customer service, handle problem situations, and perform operational tasks such as pager exchanges.
Responsibilities
- Operate department equipment and perform operational tasks including pager exchanges.
- Process diverse requests for information, including handling incoming and outgoing calls, as well as emergency/disaster alerting.
- Activate Health System and Departmental emergency plans, including fire safety, medical emergencies (code blue), and disaster/hurricane weather as required.
- Operate emergency communications equipment, including telephone and paging notification systems.
Requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical proficiency with communication tools and systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail, adaptability, and proactivity.
- High School Graduate or High School GED in General Studies, required upon hire.

$17.71 - $25.02 per hour
