About the role

This position performs a wide variety of communications activities, including drafting, editing, and distributing website, social media, and newsletter content with guidance from senior team members. It also coordinates logistics and planning for special events, speaker series, webinars, and lecture series.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and edit the Center/Department’s website content
  • Support writing of blog posts, policy tools, and other materials
  • Assist with executing strategic internal and external communications plans using social media, newsletters, video production, webinars, and other channels
  • Provide general support to the Center/Department’s operations agenda
  • Organize events, including special events and volunteer opportunities
  • Conduct other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • At least one year of communications, special events, business, and/or operations experience (required)
  • At least two years of communications experience (preferred)

Skills and abilities

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

Pay

Annual salary range: $58,300 – $72,900 (full-time). Part-time pay will be adjusted accordingly. Factors such as skills and experience may result in an offer above this range.

Additional information

As a condition of employment, CHOP employees who work in patient care buildings or have patient-facing responsibilities must receive an annual influenza vaccine.
