About the role

We are seeking a Communications Manager to lead PR and social media efforts for resident shows with Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group ("CDSEG"). The role involves promoting shows to local, regional, national, and international markets through strategic partnerships with Sales and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PR and social media strategies in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Prioritize and build strong relationships with MGM Resorts and Treasure Island Hotel & Casino counterparts, participating in ongoing meetings and reviewing content and programs with partners as required.
  • Maintain and monitor the effectiveness of PR and social media efforts, recommending new initiatives to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Create and distribute content for photo and video shoots, media pitching, and hosting events, ensuring show operation resources are available.
  • Coordinate and staff media and PR events, communicating with partners and media, as well as CDSEG Las Vegas show teams and artists, ensuring show operation resources are available.
  • Facilitate media training for spokespeople and facilitate the execution of approved PR and social media plans.
  • Ensure alignment with departmental goals, including revenue, occupancy, and average ticket price targets, and support direct marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to support marketing campaigns and manage crisis communications.
  • Manage external agencies and vendors as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • At least six years of experience in entertainment marketing, advertising, or agency experience.
  • Experience and knowledge in experiential marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain solid business relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with ambiguous tasks, demonstrating strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience in driving ticket sales and/or revenue is preferred.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; travel as required, sometimes internationally.
  • Ability to perform essential functions including, but not limited to: crouching, kneeling, standing, lifting, sometimes for extended periods.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
