About the role

The Communications Manager at Mercy provides leadership and support in executing the ministry's communications strategy, both internally and externally. They are responsible for creating and influencing the organization's culture and supporting business objectives through consistent messaging and a distinctive Mercy voice.

Responsibilities

Create and manage internal and external communications campaigns
Develop and implement communication strategies for various audiences including co-workers, physicians, board members, and external stakeholders
Collaborate with other Mercy departments on specific communications projects and needs
Work with the Integrated Marketing team to support shared strategies
Contribute to shaping the future of healthcare through innovation, technology, and compassion

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in organizational communications
Ability to work effectively as part of a local and virtual team

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with digital media and social media platforms
Knowledge of graphic design and video production
Excellent project management and organizational skills
