About the role
The Internal Communications Manager at Bon Appetit is responsible for crafting messages that connect employees to the company’s mission, shaping the internal voice, and supporting the company’s digital presence.
Responsibilities
- Get to Know Us: Dive into corporate departments and learn about Bon Appétit’s operations.
- Shape Our Internal Voice: Develop quarterly communication plans, channel strategy, and editorial calendars.
- Measure Effectiveness: Utilize analytics and pulse surveys to assess the impact of communications.
- Craft Content: Write emails, newsletters, decks, webcasts, and intranet posts that engage employees.
- Support C-Suite: Communicate with C-suite leaders and HR teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Own Weekly Newsletter: Ensure the weekly internal newsletter is a must-read for employees.
- Handle Urgent Communications: Prepare and deliver rapid-response communications as needed.
- Guide Employee Engagement: Lead the employee engagement plan and coordinate company-wide webcasts and town halls.
- Connect with Stakeholders: Serve as the primary point of contact for parent company communications, press materials, and annual events.
- Tell Our Story: Contribute to internal and external storytelling through various platforms.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of internal, corporate, or employee communications experience, particularly in food service, hospitality, or multi-site organizations.
- A proven track record of clear, confident executive communications, especially in complex organizations.
- Experience as a trusted communications partner to C-suite leaders and HR teams.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong writing skills in various formats and channels.
- Comfort with PowerPoint, Canva, intranet/CMS platforms, and newsletter tools.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.

- Ability to translate complexity into simple, relatable language.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle last-minute requests.
