Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies to support the mission and goals of ATI overall and specifically the Specialty Materials business unit.
- Focus on employee engagement and supporting supervisor-employee communications.
- Create and distribute content to proactively tell our story across all channels, written and video, to reach key audiences including employees, recruits, customers, community and media.
- Create robust communications channels to reach operators on the shop floor, connecting them to the vision and priorities, helping them to align their performance to deliver results.
- Help to protect ATI’s reputation through proactive crisis management plans and community relations strategies.
- Collaborate with company leadership and cross-functional teams to implement effective communications in support of growth projects and vital initiatives.
- Support ATI’s digital and social media presence, building impactful followership and engaging employees as ATI ambassadors.
- Engage with media - proactively and reactively - to extend the reach of our story.
- Serve as an embedded leader of the Specialty Materials business unit, driving business unit strategy through communications.
- Regularly assess and implement the appropriate measures that test the effectiveness of ATI’s communication channels, initiatives, and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or relevant field
- 3-5 years’ experience in professional communications
- Prior experience in Communications working with a "deskless" workforce, preferably in manufacturing, construction, healthcare or other relevant field
- Experience engaging with trade, local and top-tier media preferred
- Experience guiding graphic design and video production. Expertise in Canva or the Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Expertise in change management and leadership communications
- Experience as a reporter or journalist with strong storytelling skills is highly preferred
