About the role

As a communications engineer, you will utilize your expertise in complex systems to manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process for Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (PLEO) and communication systems. You will work with original equipment manufacturers to improve performance and integrate advanced technologies into existing platforms. This role offers an opportunity to transform mission systems requirements and enhance the performance of PLEO communication systems on various platforms, contributing directly to improving warfighter capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Work with existing teams to understand current challenges and develop integration upgrades.
  • Collaborate with OEMs to integrate advanced technologies into existing platforms.
  • Assist in augmenting designs and algorithms to improve system performance.
  • Manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process.
  • Analyze PLEO communication system designs and provide technical inputs to improve performance and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field.
  • Experience in radar systems and knowledge of systems integration challenges.
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern Navy PLEO communication systems.
  • Experience with the SETR process.
  • Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
