Responsibilities
- Assist in developing a disciplined communications strategy, including procedures, standards, and manuals to meet the office’s objectives and goals.
- Perform a wide array of writing tasks, including formal remarks, video scripts, quotes, social media posts, and correspondence for the Office of the Commissioner Representing the Public.
- Support and promote the work of the Public Commissioner’s Office by developing and maintaining a communications calendar, social media strategy, and performance analytics.
- Market programs to community and professional groups to encourage interest and secure support.
- Draft and coordinate internal and external communications.
- Collaborate with program staff in developing and drafting external communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Information Specialist II: Two years of full-time experience in writing, scripting, editing, media relations, journalism, public relations, advertising, preparation of public information releases and reports, or related activities in a public or private enterprise.
Information Specialist III: Three years of full-time experience in the same areas as listed above.
Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
