About the Role
The student will assist the OWU Sports Information department in creating content for the OWU Athletics website and social media pages. Content will include photo galleries, videos, graphics, podcasts, and written materials such as game recaps and feature stories.
Responsibilities
- Taking photos/videos during home games and other athletics events
- Creating short videos, reels, or graphics for social media
- Sorting and editing photos and videos for posting
- Writing game recaps, feature stories, and other materials for the OWU Athletics website
- Communicating with the Sports Information Director about deadlines for posting and content schedules
Requirements
- Student photographers/videographers are preferred to have experience capturing photos/video during athletics events
- Preferred to have their own equipment and editing software
- Student writers must have proficient writing skills
- A general understanding of sports-writing, sports rules, trends, and statistics is helpful
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States (employment sponsorship is not available)
