Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create and manage content calendars for digital, social media, email, and print communications.
  • Write, edit, and distribute newsletters, donor communications, announcements, and marketing materials.
  • Gather stories and content from staff, programs, and community stakeholders.
  • Manage website content, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and brand consistency.
  • Oversee social media platforms, scheduling, and audience engagement.
  • Track and report communication performance metrics across digital channels.
  • Maintain brand standards and visual consistency across all communications.
  • Coordinate with designers, photographers, printers, and other creative vendors.
  • Develop templates and communication resources to support organizational initiatives.
  • Support marketing and promotion for fundraising events, community events, and organizational campaigns.
  • Coordinate media outreach and external visibility opportunities.
  • Manage communication requests across departments and establish project timelines.
  • Improve communication workflows and ensure timely delivery of projects.

Qualifications And Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit communications, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience developing communications strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong visual and creative judgment.
  • Experience managing vendors and creative partners preferred.
  • Proficiency with website platforms, email marketing systems, social media management tools, and content management systems.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and related communications tools preferred.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
