About the role
The Communications and Community Engagement Specialist supports the TriStar Division Marketing and Corporate Affairs team onsite at local hospitals, promoting the HCA Healthcare family of brands and the division’s growth agenda. This role reports directly to the Director of Communications and Community Engagement with a dotted-line relationship to the hospital CEO. The specialist executes communications and community engagement plans, supports marketing efforts, and collaborates on community activities.
Responsibilities
- Communications:
- Supports all communications, public relations, and community engagement activities under the direction of the Facility Communications and Community Engagement Director/Manager.
- Assists with onsite crisis communication efforts as needed.
- Provides outstanding and timely customer service.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with facility administration, directors, staff, and physicians.
- Stays informed about hospital news, trends, services, and objectives.
- Contributes to the development of materials for print, online, digital, video, blog, and web.
- Community Engagement:
- Facilitates community and customer engagement to enhance the hospital’s reputation.
- Coordinates events and programs aligned with division and hospital goals to raise awareness of the submarket’s capabilities.
- Supports colleague community engagement, including giving campaigns (e.g., HCA Hope Fund), volunteering, and board service in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Marketing:
- Provides facility insights to inform division/regional marketing plans, including access to service line leaders and subject matter experts.
- Supports local brand management activities.
- Coordinates local marketing and brand strategies in partnership with the Division team.
- Partners with the Marketing Services Organization to develop content (web and social) and manage hospital collateral (e.g., fliers, brochures, rack cards).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1+ years of experience in a related position/field
