Communications Administrative Coordinator

South Carolina Department of Revenue · Lexington County, SC · 1 mo ago
Full-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? Actually the posting includes "Who we are" and "We Are Looking For Teammates Who Are ..." and "What You Will Do". Also "Primary Job Duties Include". Then "Either Minimum and Additional Requirements". Then "Preferred Qualifications". Then "Additional Comments" includes EEO, Hours, Telework schedule, etc. We need to remove boilerplate: EEO, legal, application instructions. Also remove duplicated lines. Keep substantive info. We need headings: Use

for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections if posting has real specific content. We have content: "Who we are" could be About the role? Actually it's about the organization. Could be "About the role" maybe not exactly but we can use "About the role" heading and put that paragraph. Responsibilities: The "What You Will Do" and "Primary Job Duties Include" list. Requirements: Minimum and Additional Requirements (education). Also maybe "Additional Requirements" about non-regular hours, travel. Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications. Skills: maybe from Preferred Qualifications: editing and writing, communication principles, Plain Language, AP Style, Smart Brevity, SharePoint, project management tools. Benefits: The posting mentions "Offering excellent benefits, hybrid work schedules, tuition assistance, and self-development opportunities". Also "Hours: Flexible hours may be available from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week). Telework schedule: This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week after one year of employment with SCDOR." That's schedule/benefits. Pay: Not mentioned, so we should NOT include Pay section. Schedule: Could be included under Benefits or separate Schedule section. Since we have schedule info, we could create a Schedule section with that info. But we also have hybrid work schedules mentioned earlier. Might combine. We need to avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. We must not repeat job title as heading. Not include Job ID. We must output only HTML fragment. Let's structure:

Skills

Skills include editing and writing, communication principles, Plain Language, AP Style, Smart Brevity, SharePoint proficiency, and project management tool experience.

But we might combine Qualifications and Skills; but we can keep both if they have content. However we should avoid thin sections. Qualifications already list items; Skills could be redundant. Perhaps we can omit Skills and keep Qualifications only. But the instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So maybe combine Qualifications and Skills into one section called "Qualifications". But we already have Qualifications. Could rename to "Qualifications and Skills". But headings must be from list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we can have Qualifications and Skills separate but maybe both thin. Better to have Qualifications (includes preferred qualifications) and maybe Skills not needed. Let's keep Qualifications only, and maybe include skills within that list. Benefits: We have "Offering excellent benefits, hybrid work schedules, tuition assistance, and self-development opportunities". Also schedule info. Could create Benefits section with those. Schedule section maybe separate with hours and telework. But we have schedule info: "Hours: Flexible hours may be available from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week). Telework schedule: This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week after one year of employment with SCDOR." That's schedule. Thus we can have Benefits section: excellent benefits, hybrid work schedules, tuition assistance, self-development opportunities. Schedule section: flexible hours 7am-6pm M-F 37.5 hrs/week; telework up to 2 days/week after one year. We must not include filler like "not specified". We have specifics. Now ensure we removed EEO, application instructions, etc. Let's craft final HTML. Check for any duplicated lines: We have "Who we are" paragraph includes benefits mention; we also have Benefits section repeating benefits. That's okay but we should not duplicate content? The instruction: "Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail." It's okay to have some overlap if it's in original. But we could avoid duplication by not repeating benefits in About the role? But the About the role paragraph includes that sentence; we could keep it there and Benefits section could be omitted or just mention other benefits? However we need to include Benefits section only if posting has real specific content for it. It does: "Offering excellent benefits, hybrid work schedules, tuition assistance, and self-development opportunities". That's specific. So we should include Benefits section with that info. The About the role paragraph also includes that sentence; we could keep it there as part of description; duplication is okay but maybe we could remove that sentence from About the role to avoid duplication. However the instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; removing that sentence would lose info. But we could keep it in About the role and also in Benefits; that's duplication but still preserving. Might be okay but could be considered redundant. I'd rather keep About the role as is (including that sentence) and Benefits section maybe just list the same? Might be seen as duplication but not prohibited. However they said "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." Duplication not ideal but okay. Alternatively we could move the benefits sentence to Benefits section and keep About the role without that sentence. But then we lose that sentence from About the role unless we keep it elsewhere. We could keep About the role focusing on mission and impact, and move benefits to Benefits section. That would preserve all info without duplication. Let's do that. Thus About the role paragraph: remove the benefits sentence. Keep rest: "At the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR), we are funding a better state to live, work, and play. Offering excellent benefits, hybrid work schedules, tuition assistance, and self-development opportunities, we are a trustworthy partner to our customers and an innovative workplace that supports work-life balance and empowers our employees to reach their highest potential." Actually that sentence includes benefits. If we remove it, we lose that. Let's think: We could keep About the role as mission statement only: "At the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR), we are funding a better state to live, work, and play. We are a trustworthy partner to our customers and an innovative workplace that supports work-life balance and empowers our employees to reach their highest potential. Open the door to a career at the SCDOR and discover why 93% of our employees see how their work contributes to the SCDOR’s success—by collecting 95% of South Carolina’s general fund, our team serves with purpose and impacts the success of our community. Learn more about why you should join our team at dor.sc.gov/careers." That preserves mission and impact but loses explicit mention of benefits etc. However we will have Benefits section covering those. So all info preserved. Now Benefits section: "Offering excellent benefits, hybrid work schedules, tuition assistance, and self-development opportunities." Schedule section: "Hours: Flexible hours may be available from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week). Telework schedule: This position may be eligible to work remotely up to two days per week after one year of employment with SCDOR." Now ensure we didn't include any boilerplate like EEO, application instructions, etc. Check the original for any other substantive content: "Either Minimum and Additional Requirements" we captured. "Preferred Qualifications" captured. "Additional Comments" includes EEO, Hours, Telework schedule, application instructions, etc. We removed EEO and application instructions. Keep Hours and Telework schedule (we placed in Schedule). Good. Now output HTML. Let's craft:
