Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Creates and delivers internal communications content, including intranet, newsletters, and digital signage
- Works with key organizational stakeholders to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company's goals and values
- Maintains internal communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with strategic goals
- Safeguards change management efforts through clear and timely communications
- Aids in crisis communications
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of best practices for internal communications
- Knowledge of internal communications tools such as email management software and intranet
- Proficiency in written communication and editing
- Project management skills
- Collaborative working ability with key stakeholders across the organization
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines
Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 4 years of relevant experience
Additional Information
The CET Communication Specialist supports strategic marketing, enrollment, and communication efforts focused on student recruitment, retention, and college communications. This position acts as a liaison among CET academic departments and RIT's enrollment management and central marketing teams, ensuring cohesive messaging and managing college communications and content development. It also coordinates all details around prospective student visits with CET academic departments.
Experience with digital communication methods, social media, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
