Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on the Communication and SCADA equipment
- Ensure compliance with all maintenance procedures and instructions including safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities to meet service availability requirements
- Implement and follow-up on procedures and rules for service, repair, and maintenance of the equipment
- Oversee the operations and correct functioning of the Communications systems and central equipment to meet performance requirements in the contract
- Periodically download communication, video, and voice log files; analyze log files to troubleshoot problems or provide predictive maintenance
- Perform troubleshooting, identification, and resolution of system and subsystem faults to support field technicians
- Complete operational, equipment failure, safety, and other reports as required
- Perform routine, preventive, and unscheduled maintenance, inspection, adjustments, testing, cleaning, and proper maintenance on assigned central Communication equipment, following schematics, manuals, and manufacturer instructions
- Ensure availability of materials, hand tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities
- Identify failure trends to prevent impact on fleet availability
- Liaise and supervise supplier staff performing maintenance works
- Conduct inspections and acceptance of equipment
- Enter information into the MMIS system
- Perform related duties as requested by the Manager, including shift rotation, weekend, and holiday work typical of major infrastructure projects and transit systems
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Communications or Electronics Engineering
- At least 3 years’ experience in preventive maintenance of technical systems
- Expert knowledge of communication systems
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- Able to work in shift rotations, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills for liaising with suppliers and team members
