Commodity Business Manager
About the role
Halo Industries is seeking a Commodity Business Manager to join our supply chain team. This role involves sourcing and managing raw materials and critical electromechanical components for our innovative semiconductor manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute commodity strategies for raw materials and capital equipment sub-components.
Conduct market intelligence, monitor global market conditions, and evaluate supplier capabilities.
Lead dual-sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring with key suppliers.
Collaborate with R&D and NPI teams on new product introductions, cost reduction, and program management.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain within the semiconductor, capital equipment, or advanced materials industries.
- Proficiency reading engineering drawings and understanding complex technical specifications.
- Experience with cost modeling, Should-Cost analysis, and Total Cost of Ownership evaluations.
- Experience using ERP systems and PLM software.
- Direct experience in the semiconductor or related high-tech industries.
- Experience supporting New Product Introductions (NPI).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced negotiation skills and experience executing favorable long-term contracts.
- Familiarity with global supply chain management and risk mitigation planning.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- Base Salary: $110,000 - $120,000
Pay
$110,000 - $120,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time position based in Santa Clara, CA. Some domestic and international travel may be required (up to 10%).
