Commodity Business Manager

About the role

Halo Industries is seeking a Commodity Business Manager to join our supply chain team. This role involves sourcing and managing raw materials and critical electromechanical components for our innovative semiconductor manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategies for raw materials and capital equipment sub-components.

• Conduct market intelligence, monitor global market conditions, and evaluate supplier capabilities.

• Lead dual-sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring with key suppliers.

• Collaborate with R&D and NPI teams on new product introductions, cost reduction, and program management.

Requirements

• Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain within the semiconductor, capital equipment, or advanced materials industries.
  • Proficiency reading engineering drawings and understanding complex technical specifications.
  • Experience with cost modeling, Should-Cost analysis, and Total Cost of Ownership evaluations.
  • Experience using ERP systems and PLM software.
  • Direct experience in the semiconductor or related high-tech industries.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introductions (NPI).

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced negotiation skills and experience executing favorable long-term contracts.
  • Familiarity with global supply chain management and risk mitigation planning.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Base Salary: $110,000 - $120,000

Pay

$110,000 - $120,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position based in Santa Clara, CA. Some domestic and international travel may be required (up to 10%).
