Responsibilities
- Calculate and process sales commission payouts accurately and on schedule, in line with plan documents and compliance requirements.
- Set, manage, and adjust sales quotas in partnership with sales leadership, applying sound quota-setting methodologies.
- Administer and maintain SPM platforms (e.g., Varicent, Xactly), including plan configuration, data loads, and issue resolution.
- Identify and lead process improvements across commission calculation, quota administration, and compensation reporting.
- Partner with sales leadership and finance to evaluate, design, and refine sales compensation plans.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of quota-setting methodologies and sales compensation plan design.
- Hands-on experience with SPM tools such as Varicent, Xactly, or similar commission/quota platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work through large data sets and catch calculation errors.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvements in compensation or finance operations.
- Clear communicator, able to explain commission and quota concepts to sales and finance stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in sales compensation, commissions administration, or quota management (5+ years for senior-level candidates).
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, mathematics, or a related field.
- PREFERRED: Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP), or working toward certification.
- Experience in a high-volume, multi-state sales organization.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms as they relate to commission data.
Pay
Pay range: $83,000 -- $160,500 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience.
