Commissioning Technician

Contract Duration: 6 months with potential extension
Location: Sturgeon Bay, WI
Work Authorization: US Citizen or PR/Green Card Holders

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Technician to support the testing, commissioning, and start-up of vessel systems on shipbuilding projects. The ideal candidate will have previous shipyard commissioning experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure systems are safely commissioned and ready for handover.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of vessel systems.
• Support system start-up, inspections, and handover activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning.
• Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project completion.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a commissioning role within a shipyard environment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, or integrated vessel systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read technical drawings.
• Able to work effectively in a team and in a fast-paced project environment.
